I've been trying to find anything that sounds similar to what I'm trying to do, but it doesn't appear to be anywhere. The idea I had was one flat plane that's supposed to be a flag with other smaller planes on top of it to represent different colors in the flag. It's fluttering in the wind, then the smaller planes tear off like velcro. I found a decent tutorial on how to do the first part, but I can't find anything on making the other planes stick to the larger one through the physics or how best to make them tear off like velcro.
I probably need to ask this here, too. Is there a way to ensure that one plane is clearly visible over the other when they occupy the same space? Or should I move one plane slightly in front of the other? Apologies for all of the questions, I'm fairly new to blender.
